SunVest Solar, LLC is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the Accounting & Finance needs of our portfolio of renewable energy projects. The role is based at our Chicago headquarters and reports to the Controller, collaborating with cross-functional teams to oversee general ledger accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, revenue recognition, tax compliance, and audit support.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with strong academic performance.
• CPA certification strongly preferred.
• Minimum of three years of progressive accounting experience, including financial and tax reporting.
• Background in construction, solar, manufacturing, engineering, EPC, or project-based industries preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience using ERP systems such as NetSuite is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Prepare and review general ledger entries, including project capitalization, operating expenses, AP/AR, and billing.
• Complete timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage and maintain accounting for long-term contracts and revenue recognition methodologies in accordance with ASC 606 and applicable accounting standards.
• Work closely with operations and project finance teams to ensure appropriate accounting throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Assist in the preparation of intercompany eliminations and consolidated financial reporting across multiple entities.
• Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
• Assist with external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and supporting documentation.
• Assist with tax filings, compliance reporting, and other finance-related projects as assigned.
