Job summary

CFS in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing accounting team. This role will focus on accounts receivable, collections, cash management, tax administration, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.

You will manage the full accounts receivable process, oversee collections of approximately $1.2M–$1.6M per month, perform monthly bank reconciliations, and support the month-end close.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Experience with collections and cash management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounts receivable process, including posting payments and account maintenance.
• Oversee collections of approximately $1.2M–$1.6M per month and prepare weekly cash collection reports.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations for four accounts and ensure completion by the 2nd–5th business day.
• Reconcile accounts receivable and customer accounts, researching and resolving discrepancies.
• Support the month-end close process and assist with various account reconciliations.
• Manage customer tax information and exemption certificates; handle deposits and transfers between bank accounts.
• Monitor credit card processing and assist with daily cash management.
• Provide backup support for customer invoicing and other accounting tasks as needed.
