Job summary

Waabi, a leader in Physical AI, seeks a Senior Accountant to manage end-to-end accounting processes and strengthen internal controls in a fast-growing tech environment. You will own month-end close, consolidations, journal entries, and audits, collaborating with FP&A, HR, and purchasing teams to support reporting and operations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, 5+ years of experience, and strong US GAAP knowledge, with proficiency in Excel/Sheets and accounting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience (public accounting or high-growth company experience a plus).
• Strong understanding of US GAAP fundamentals.
• Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; experience with NetSuite, QuickBooks or Ramp.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounts payable cycle including invoice review, coding, approvals, and payments.
• Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Support and maintain the monthly consolidation schedules.
• Prepare analytics and supporting schedules for the month-end close review.
• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaid expenses, and reclassifications.
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Assist with audit preparation, including supporting schedules and documentation.
• Help maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Collaborate with FP&A, HR, purchasing and other teams to support reporting and operational needs.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and system enhancements.
