Job summary

Waabi, a frontier tech company building autonomous transportation solutions, is seeking an Associate to join its FP&A team. You will bring analytical rigor and strategic clarity to budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial planning as the company scales.

You will develop dashboards, KPI tracking, and robust financial models to inform leadership decisions, evaluate investments, pricing, and cost-savings opportunities, and support cross-functional partners across the business.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years experience in Investment Banking/Private Equity and FP&A/Strategic Finance in a high-growth technology company.
• Advanced financial modeling skills with a focus on accuracy and scalability.
• Agency & Execution: self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and can move projects to completion with minimal oversight.
• Executive communication: ability to distill data into clear, concise insights for executives.
• Financial management: experience with FP&A tools and reporting methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Establish foundational FP&A frameworks including leadership reporting, budget vs. actuals analysis, and cross-functional discipline.
• Manage the full-year budget and forecast, developing annual operating budgets and plans with leadership input.
• Create dashboards to monitor daily/monthly performance, track KPIs, and identify trends, variances and risks.
• Lead continuous system improvements to automate and standardize financial processes.
• Provide end-to-end modeling support for strategic and commercial initiatives.
• Perform in-depth financial analysis of investments, pricing strategies, and cost-saving opportunities.

We are looking for an Associate to join as an early member of our FP&A team. In this role, you will act as a force multiplier for the finance organization, bringing analytical rigor and strategic clarity to our most critical workstreams. This is a high-visibility opportunity for an impactful contributor to have a front-row seat to the growth of a frontier tech leader and help architect our long-term financial foundations.

You will:

• Establish Foundational FP&A: Build and manage the core frameworks for a scaling organization, including leadership reporting, monthly budget vs. actuals analysis, and cross-functional financial discipline.
• Manage the Full Year Budget and Forecast: Support budget preparation and oversight, involving the development of annual operating budgets, forecasts, and financial plans. Regularly collaborate with leadership, working together to monitor and adjust budgets as needed to protect cash flow.
• Reporting and Tracking Financial Performance: Produce accurate and timely financial reports as well as collaborating on the development of board materials.
  • Create dashboards to monitor daily/monthly financial performance against goals, identifying trends, variances, and risks to support data-driven decision making.
  • Establish processes and methodologies to track and report on KPI’s.
• Continuous System Improvement: Identify, lead, and execute opportunities to improve, automate, standardize financial systems and reporting processes to optimize efficiency.
• Provide End-to-End Modeling Support: Build and maintain the sophisticated financial models that underpin our strategic and commercial initiatives—ensuring every decision is grounded in rigorous data.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making. Evaluate investment opportunities, pricing strategies, and cost-saving initiatives.

About You (Qualifications):

• Professional Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in Investment Banking/Private Equity and FP&A/Strategic Finance role at a high-growth technology company.
• Analytical Rigor: Advanced financial modeling skills with a focus on accuracy and scalability. You take pride in the quality of your work and can translate complex data into reliable decision-making tools.
• Agency & Execution: A self-starter who thrives in ambiguity. You are highly organized, capable of managing multiple workstreams, and proactive in moving projects to completion with minimal oversight.
• Executive Communication: The ability to distill vast amounts of data into clear, concise, and polished insights for executive audiences.
• Financial Management: Comprehensive understanding of financial management, analysis, tools and reporting methodologies. Including experience with selecting and/or implementing FP&A software tools.
• Systems Mindset: A natural inclination to build frameworks from scratch and a desire to make financial processes more efficient as the organization grows.

The US yearly salary range for this role is: $100,000 - $125,000 USD in addition to competitive perks & benefits. Waabi US Inc.’s yearly salary ranges are determined based on several factors in accordance with the Company’s compensation practices. Note: The Company provides additional compensation for employees in this role, including equity incentive awards and an annual performance bonus.
