Job summary

Vercel Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant to scale our accounting operations as we grow toward public company standards.

You will own key areas such as accruals, lease accounting, capitalized commissions, and payroll, partnering with FP&A and external providers to drive accurate monthly and quarterly closes. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• 3+ years accounting experience in Big 4 and/or high-growth private company.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and FASB ASC standards.
• Hands-on, detail-oriented with ownership and multitasking.
• Interest in leveraging AI, automation, and systems to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly and quarterly close ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare financial reporting packages and leadership analyses.
• Prepare account reconciliations and schedules; resolve discrepancies.
• Partner with FP&A to align results with forecasts and drivers.
• Lead or support process improvements and automation initiatives.
• Build and use AI agents to automate daily activities.
• Support M&A activities including onboarding new entities.
• Assist with audit and reviews; respond to inquiries.
