Job summary

Vercel is seeking a Senior Accountant to scale accounting operations and own key close activities. The role reports to the Sr.

Accounting Manager and collaborates across teams to ensure timely, accurate financial information for FP&A and decision-making. Responsibilities include accruals, lease accounting, capitalized commissions, payroll, and potential involvement with subsidiaries related to M&A activity.

• Experience with monthly and quarterly close processes.
• Ability to prepare financial reporting packages and leadership presentations.
• Experience in account reconciliations and supporting schedules.

Responsibilities

• Support the monthly and quarterly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare financial reporting packages and leadership presentations with analysis.
• Prepare reconciliations and supporting schedules, resolve discrepancies.
• Partner with FP&A to align accounting results with forecasts and drivers.
• Lead or support process improvement and automation initiatives for month-end/quarter-end close.
• Build and use AI agents to automate daily activities.
• Support M&A activities including onboarding new entities.
• Assist with audit and review processes and respond to inquiries.
• Support other special projects as they arise.
