Job summary

Warner Music Group is seeking a Senior Accountant 2 for our Remote USA team. You will lead advanced accounting tasks, manage monthly closes, and support intercompany reconciliations across labels and offices.

You will review junior staff work, ensure SOX compliance, and coordinate with offshore teams while seeking opportunities to automate using BlackLine. A Big 4 background is a strong plus for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in accounting or finance.
• 5–10 years of experience in shared services or corporate accounting; Big 4 CPA experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review work of entry-level staff and provide feedback for corrections.
• Perform advanced accounting tasks and monthly/ quarterly close in line with US GAAP.
• Prepare complex journal entries and monitor sub-ledger interfaces for close deliverables.
• Reconcile cash activities and intercompany cash netting with Cash & Treasury teams.
• Perform variance analyses and respond to ad hoc requests for explanations.
• Support global intercompany reconciliation and resolve mismatches.
• Collaborate with offshore teams to review deliverables and improve processes.
• Identify automation opportunities within BlackLine to enhance the close process.
• Ensure SOX compliance, internal controls, and accounting policies are followed.
• Support audit requests, tax reporting, and preparation of schedules.
