A renowned property & casualty insurance group headquartered in Atlanta is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its team. This is a fully remote position offering competitive compensation, and the opportunity to work in a stable, well-established organization with a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support monthly and quarterly close processes, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.
• Prepare and review statutory (SAP) accounting entries and financial statements in compliance with Yellow Book standards.
• Assist with annual statement filings and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Support internal and external audit processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in accounting processes, controls, and systems.
• Partner with other finance and actuarial teams to support overall financial accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred).
• 3–6 years of accounting experience, with insurance industry exposure.
• Solid understanding of statutory accounting principles (SAP) and Yellow Book standards.
• Strong Excel skills; experience with insurance accounting systems is a plus.
• Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and able to work effectively in a remote environment.
