Job summary

CFS in Wadsworth, OH is seeking a Senior Accountant to support core accounting operations, ensure data accuracy, and assist with monthly close under U.S. GAAP.

This role partners with the Corporate Controller in a private equity-backed environment, exposing you to ERP/WMS/OMS implementations and process improvements.

You will handle journal entries, reconciliations, audits, and internal controls while enabling cross-functional financial analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong U.S. GAAP knowledge.
• ERP system experience (NetSuite or Great Plains preferred) and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support monthly close processes in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Prepare and post journal entries while reconciling key accounts (cash, payroll, accruals).
• Serve as liaison for external audits and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Strengthen internal controls and partner cross-functionally on financial analysis and reporting.
