Job summary

Ledgent-Finance- is seeking a Senior Accountant in the United States to own key accounting functions, support financial reporting, and partner with leadership to drive informed decision-making in a fast-paced environment.

You will lead month-end close, ensure GAAP compliance, monitor fixed assets, support audits, and mentor junior staff while collaborating with operations, sales, and treasury teams to strengthen internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Proven ability to analyze complex financial data and communicate findings clearly.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Analyze financial results and provide insights to leadership.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Assist with audits and coordinate requests from external auditors.
• Monitor fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and capital expenditures.
• Review operational processes and recommend improvements to strengthen internal controls.
• Partner cross-functionally with operations, sales, and leadership teams on financial initiatives and special projects.
• Assist with cash management, treasury activities, and financial planning efforts.
• Mentor and support junior accounting staff as needed.
