Job summary

The Senior Accountant position at CFS in Akron, OH will support core accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data while assisting with monthly close, audits, and reporting in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

You will collaborate with the Corporate Controller, strengthen internal controls, and drive process improvements to maintain compliance with US GAAP in a dynamic, high-growth environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong U.S. GAAP knowledge.
• ERP system experience with NetSuite or Great Plains; advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support monthly close processes in compliance with U.S. GAAP
• Prepare and post journal entries while reconciling key accounts (cash, payroll, accruals)
• Serve as liaison for external audits and ensure accurate financial reporting
• Strengthen internal controls and partner cross-functionally on financial analysis and reporting
