CFS in Visalia, CA seeks a Senior Accountant to join our growing accounting team. You will prepare and post journal entries, reconcile ledgers, analyze balance sheets and income statements, and assist with month-end close while ensuring GAAP compliance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Experience with general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and ensure accuracy of financial transactions.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain and analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and schedules.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Prepare schedules and documentation for external audits.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and internal controls.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen accounting processes.

Responsibilities Include

• Prepare and post journal entries while ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial transactions
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and research and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain and analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules
