Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC seeks a Senior Accountant to manage and coordinate multiple projects, supporting management in making informed economic decisions. The role reports to the Controller and offers a pathway to influence a growing, collaborative finance team.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance, 3+ years of experience, deep US GAAP knowledge, and strong Excel skills; CPA is a plus. Public accounting experience is a plus and discretionary bonus is noted.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff accountants and clerical staff to meet accounting objectives.
• Oversee corporate accounting close and monthly/annual reports including audits.
• Manage accounts receivable activities and weekly funding reports.
• Ensure corporate income tax compliance and timely returns.
• Establish and maintain controls to protect data and processes.
• Participate in special projects and reports.

Overview of the Senior Accountant role:

• Supervise staff accountants and clerical staff to assure that the department accomplishes accounting objectives by selecting, onboarding, assigning, managing, and mentoring employees
• Oversee the activities of the corporate accounting department for the accurate and timely, close, development/analysis of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements and annual audits
• Oversee the activities of the accounts receivable department to ensure the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable aging components including billings, cash receipts application, and funding service management, which includes weekly funding reports
• Assure corporate income tax compliance to assure the accurate and timely completion of all corporate income tax returns
• Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the company’s value
• Participate in special projects and reports

Preferred Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years experience
• Well versed in US GAAP and tech savvy
• CPA (+)
• Advanced Excel skills
