Senior Accountant

Position Summary:

This role owns core accounting cycles including month‑end close, lease and capex accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting accuracy. The Senior Accountant also manages audit deliverables and ensures ERP data integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of opening balance financial statements and fund flow accounting.
• Own lease accounting (ROU assets, amortization schedules, renewals).
• Lead capex tracking and depreciation scheduling.
• Lead and review monthly reconciliations and accruals.
• Maintain financial reporting file and ensure ERP integrity.
• Act as process owner for external audit documentation and issue tracking.
• Lead budgeting entry and consolidation with CFO oversight.
• Support forecasting model with financial accuracy validation.
• Review covenant reporting figures before CFO submission.
• Validate board presentation numbers prior to executive review.
• Lead vendor management controls and AP journal.
• Lead expense reporting cycle and Concur review process.
• Manage compliance oversight for 1099s, W‑9s, tax interfaces, and reporting.
• Review payroll journal entries and general ledger impact.
• Ensure proper financial control setup for new location onboarding.
• Assist with monthly variance analysis.
• Assist the team with other duties as required.

Required Qualifications

• 5–7+ years in accounting with demonstrated technical GAAP expertise.
• Experience leading month‑end close cycles and audit interaction.
• Strong ERP proficiency (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Business Central strongly preferred).
• CPA or CPA track strongly preferred.
• Detail‑obsessed with high ownership.
• Clear communicator with process leadership mindset.
• Ability to work in a small, growing team.
• Able to collaborate cross‑functionally while maintaining control standards.

Location

Ideal candidate will be near one of our operating units or in a major metro area for a hybrid work environment. The role will be mainly remote with possible travel to operating units.
