Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking a Senior Accountant in Silver Spring, MD, to take ownership of the month‑end close and contribute to strategic accounting initiatives. This is a highly visible role with exposure to finance leadership across a multi‑entity portfolio.

You will prepare journal entries, review financial statements, oversee intercompany activity, and assist with audits and budgeting, including real estate accounting responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
• 4+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience with multi-entity or multi-property portfolios preferred.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and financial statement analysis.
• Intermediate Excel skills required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, reclasses, and intercompany allocations.
• Review financial statements and distribute owner financial reports.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger and intercompany accounts.
• Coordinate quarterly lender reporting and annual audit support.
• Manage tax and insurance payment processes.
• Assist with budgeting, internal controls, and accounting projects.
