The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's in Accounting and have over 3 years of progressive experience. This position requires strong U.S. GAAP knowledge and advanced Excel skills. The role involves balance sheet reconciliations, financial reporting, and collaboration with leadership, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all accounting processes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.

• Experience in preparing and posting journal entries.

Job description

A well-established and growing real estate investment and management company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. This is a high-impact, highly visible role partnering directly with leadership. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and comfortable owning key components of the close process across multiple entities and investments.

Responsibilities

• Own key components of the monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close
• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy
• Perform monthly balance sheet and income statement reconciliations
• Support the preparation of monthly financial reporting packages
• Manage lease accounting reconciliations and related schedules
• Process monthly base rent and percentage rent calculations
• Oversee tax filing support, including reconciliation of tax liability accounts
• Track, record, and capitalize capital projects in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Maintain and update fixed asset roll forward schedules and depreciation
• Collaborate cross‑functionally

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
• CPA passed or in progress
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Advanced Excel
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
