Job summary

CFS in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a Senior Accountant to own month-end close, prepare journal entries, and provide comprehensive financial analysis for a multi-entity real estate portfolio.

You will collaborate with leadership on financial reporting, audits, budgeting, and process improvements, gaining exposure to finance leadership and broad responsibility.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience with multi-entity or multi-property portfolios preferred.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and financial statement analysis.
• Intermediate Excel skills required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, reclasses, and intercompany allocations.
• Review financial statements and distribute owner financial reports.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger and intercompany accounts.
• Coordinate quarterly lender reporting and annual audit support.
• Manage tax and insurance payment processes.
• Assist with budgeting, internal controls, and accounting projects.
