Job summary

CFS in California's Kern County is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our established agricultural finance team. You will prepare monthly statements, perform reconciliations, and support month-end close with accuracy and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Experience with general ledger accounting and account reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
• CPA designation or progress toward CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Perform account reconciliations and maintain general ledger accuracy.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
