Job summary

Leoforce is seeking a Senior Accountant in Scottsdale to manage equity method investments and support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close under U.S. GAAP.

You will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and analyze investment-related reporting while coordinating with finance and other teams. The role requires 3+ years of accounting experience with equity method investments, strong Excel skills, and a solid understanding of GAAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including equity method investments or complex investment accounting.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Experience with month-end and quarter-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Ability to analyze financial statements and interpret complex accounting transactions.
• CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting and reporting of equity method investments, including recording the company's share of investee earnings and losses.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and schedules related to investment activity.
• Analyze financial statements and reporting packages from investees to ensure accurate accounting.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes in line with U.S. GAAP.
• Assist with preparation of financial statements, management reporting, and investment roll-forward schedules.
• Evaluate investment activity including contributions, distributions, and ownership changes.
• Research technical accounting matters related to equity method investments and apply relevant guidance.
• Support audits by preparing documentation and responses to information requests.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and internal controls.
• Collaborate with finance, accounting, and other stakeholders to support reporting and business objectives.

• Familiarity with ASC 323 (Investments—Equity Method and Joint Ventures) and related technical accounting guidance.
