Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group is seeking a Senior Accountant for a newly created role on its growing accounting team in the South Bay. You will own close processes, revenue accounting, and end-to-end order-to-cash improvements, with exposure to pre-IPO readiness and automation initiatives.

You will partner across contract execution, billing, and revenue recognition, leveraging AI-enabled tools and NetSuite to streamline reporting and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related quantitative field.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• Strong understanding of ASC 606 and revenue accounting.
• Experience working within a technology company or supporting technology clients.
• Strong GL, reconciliation, and financial close experience.
• Experience using AI tools within a professional environment.
• Advanced Excel and financial/operational analysis skills.
• CPA and/or Big 4/public accounting experience is a huge plus.
• Experience with order-to-cash transformation or revenue operations.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and balance sheet/P&L analysis
• Support ASC 606 revenue recognition and related accounting activities
• Help redesign and scale the end-to-end order-to-cash process
• Partner across contract execution, billing, collections, cash application, and revenue recognition
• Identify process gaps and opportunities to improve controls, accuracy, and efficiency
• Help develop scalable processes and documentation as the business introduces new products and commercial models
• Support revenue forecasting, projections, and actual-to-forecast variance analysis
• Assist with sales commission tracking and reconciliations
• Support annual audit requests, schedules, documentation, and accounting research
• Help drive systems enhancements, integrations, and automation initiatives
• Leverage NetSuite, advanced Excel, and AI-enabled tools to reduce manual processes and improve reporting
• Collaborate cross-functionally with teams in the U.S. and Asia
• Play an active role in building an accounting infrastructure that can support continued growth and potential future IPO readiness

This is a high-impact opportunity for someone who wants broad exposure beyond traditional GL accounting, with significant ownership across financial close, revenue accounting, order-to-cash operations, process improvement, and automation. The company has an established operating history and is continuing to scale its U.S. and international operations. With a potential future IPO in mind, the accounting team is focused on strengthening controls, improving systems, automating manual processes, and building a more scalable finance infrastructure.

What You'll Do:
