Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead GL reconciliation and month-end close across multiple entities. You will manage cash, fixed assets, accruals, prepaids, and intercompany accounts, while guiding AP tasks and ensuring GAAP compliance.

The role emphasizes process improvement, AI-assisted analysis, and collaboration with leadership to deliver accurate financial insights for a global footprint across North America, Europe, and Asia.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with NetSuite and Floqast.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
• Comfort using AI tools (e.g., Claude Cowork, Gemini) for analysis and documentation.

• Prepare and post GL journal entries for month-end close.

Job description

• Prepare and reconcile GL accounts, including cash, fixed assets, accruals, prepaids, leases, and intercompany transactions
• Code and reconcile credit card transactions using Brex and corporate cards
• Prepare and post GL journal entries for month-end close and operational activity
• Provide GL guidance and AP coverage, including Bill.com processing, invoice approvals, vendor payments, and mentoring
• Monitor and respond to accounting inbox inquiries
• Handle compliance-related items and ad hoc requests
• Document GL processes, procedures, controls, accounting documentation, and audit trails
• Identify opportunities to use AI and automation tools for intelligent reconciliation, anomaly detection, data matching, and workflow efficiency
• Analyze GL data trends, variances, and unusual account activity and provide financial insights to leadership
• Support audits and statutory reporting with documentation and GL reconciliations
• Report to the Senior Accounting Manager
• Support a global organization with eight subsidiaries across North America, Europe, and Asia

Requirements

• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
• 3–5 years GL accounting and accounting operations experience, preferably in a Senior Accountant role
• Proficiency with accounting systems including NetSuite and Floqast
• Strong Excel skills with ability to analyze data and create solutions
• Comfortable using AI tools such as Claude Cowork and Gemini for analysis, documentation, and process improvement
• Well-rounded GL accounting knowledge and experience across multiple GL functions
• CPA license preferred
• Startup or high-growth company experience preferred
• Knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices preferred
• Experience with multi-entity or international accounting structures preferred
• Strong technical accounting knowledge
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong organizational, communication, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and process-improvement skills
