Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced accounting professional to lead complex journal entries, accruals, and period-end close activities in a fast-paced environment. The role emphasizes GAAP compliance, internal controls, and collaboration with auditors during internal and external reviews.

The ideal candidate is CPA-eligible, has advanced technical accounting knowledge, and demonstrates independent judgment while coaching junior staff and driving process improvements through ERP implementations

Qualifications

• Advanced technical accounting knowledge.

• Experienced accounting professional.
• Eligible to sit for the CPA exam.
• Preferably actively pursuing or holding CPA licensure.
• Demonstrated experience in a public or private company setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and own complex journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Manage assigned areas of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
• Perform and review detailed balance sheet and income statement reconciliations.
• Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and provide explanations to management.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies.

• Identify, design, and implement process improvements and automation initiatives.
• Participate in ERP implementations, system upgrades, and accounting transformations.
• Review work prepared by junior staff and provide coaching and mentorship.
