About the Opportunity
A rapidly growing energy company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its corporate accounting team in San Antonio. Reporting directly to the Controller, this position offers broad exposure to financial reporting, fixed assets, month-end close, operational analysis, and executive-level decision support.

What You'll Do
- Own month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
- Analyze financial results, budget variances, and operational trends
- Manage fixed asset accounting, including capital projects, depreciation, amortization, and asset disposals
- Process and review Accounts Payable transactions, including invoice approvals, travel expenses, and exception resolution
- Review customer billings, Accounts Receivable activity, and cash receipts
- Assist with audits, compliance reporting, and government filings
- Partner with leadership to improve accounting processes and internal controls
- Support special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience with:
- General Ledger Accounting
- Month-End Close
- Account Reconciliations
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Fixed Asset Accounting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or CPA-track candidate
- Public accounting experience, including Big 4 background
- Experience with partnerships and/or LLC structures
- Construction, energy, infrastructure, or oil & gas industry experience
- Oracle ERP experience
- MBA or advanced accounting/finance degree
