Job summary

OneSearch Partners is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join our growing, PE-backed manufacturing and distribution leadership team. This remote role offers high visibility with executive collaboration and the potential to advance into a leadership position within the first year.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, 5+ years of corporate financial accounting experience, CPA preferred, and a strong command of GAAP, data analysis, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 5+ years of relevant corporate financial accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing/distribution/PE-backed environments.
• Public accounting experience and CPA license are highly preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of GAAP with strong data analysis and meticulous attention to detail.
• High autonomy and strong communication skills in a fast-paced, growing business.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, identify trends, and investigate variances.
• Lead month-end close procedures, prepare journal entries, and maintain general ledger across multiple segments.
• Manage internal compensation/incentive programs, accruals, and efficiency projects.
• Oversee daily cash application, cash transactions, and cash reconciliation reporting.
• Serve as SME for internal accounting control policies and ensure GAAP compliance.

What You Will Do

• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, while identifying trends and investigating variances.


• Accounting Close Ownership: Lead month-end close procedures, prepare monthly journal entries, and handle general ledger maintenance across multiple business segments.


• Compensation & Special Projects: Manage and evaluate key financial programs, including internal commission/incentive systems, accruals, and departmental efficiency projects.


• Cash Management: Oversee daily cash application, record transactions, and perform cash reconciliation reporting.


• Internal Controls: Serve as a subject matter expert for internal accounting control policies, ensuring full compliance with GAAP standards.

What We Are Looking For

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.


• Experience: 5+ years of relevant corporate financial accounting experience (exposure to manufacturing, distribution, or PE-backed environments is a major plus).


• Credentials: Public accounting experience and a CPA license are highly preferred.


• Skills: Extensive knowledge of GAAP, excellent data analysis capabilities, and strong attention to detail.
