Job summary

Peerless Search Partners is partnering with a growing multi-location manufacturer to identify a Senior Accountant. You’ll work closely with the Corporate Controller and finance teams at multiple plants, gaining a comprehensive view of the business.

This role is ideal for a degreed Staff or Senior Accountant seeking ownership, cross-location exposure, and involvement in acquisitions and integrations. Hybrid flexibility is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of general ledger, accruals, and financial statement connections.
• Hands-on experience preparing reconciliations and journal entries.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and record monthly journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and allocations.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain schedules that support general ledger balances.
• Assist with intercompany accounting and reconciliations across locations.
• Analyze account activity to spot unusual transactions, trends, and variances.
• Support external audits and lender requests.
• Contribute to process improvements and acquisitions/integration work.

You’ll work directly with the Corporate Controller and the finance teams at multiple plants, so you’ll see how every part of the company runs and how it all rolls up. It’s a great fit for a degreed Staff or Senior Accountant who wants more ownership and a bigger view of the business.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and record monthly journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and allocations
• Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain the schedules that support general ledger balances
• Assist with intercompany accounting and reconciliations across locations
• Analyze account activity to spot unusual transactions, trends, and variances
• Support external audits and lender requests
• Contribute to process improvements and special projects, including acquisition and integration work

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, accruals, and how the financial statements connect
• Hands‑on experience preparing account reconciliations and journal entries
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills

Nice to Have

• 3+ years of experience
• Manufacturing, multi-location, or private equity-backed company experience
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Business Central experience
• CPA or progress toward it
