Job summary

6 Degrees Group is seeking a Senior Accountant for an on-site role in Peachtree City, GA. You will participate in month-end close, consolidations, and reconciliations within a manufacturing environment.

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will gain exposure to cost and inventory accounting and SOX controls, with daily collaboration across departments in a growing corporate setting near Atlanta.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 3+ years of accounting experience in corporate accounting or private equity.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge with hands-on month-end close and audit experience.
• Exposure to cost and inventory accounting, with SOX experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned month-end close tasks, including complex journal entries and GL variance analysis
• Help prepare monthly and quarterly consolidated financial statements under US GAAP in Oracle FCCS
• Own balance sheet reconciliations and keep data clean across systems
• Support SOX controls and audits, and act as a main contact for the external auditors

One of our clients is looking to hire a Senior Accountant in Peachtree City, GA. Our client is a leading U.S. manufacturer with a new corporate headquarters, several plants, and distribution centers employing close to a thousand people. This Senior Accountant runs key parts of the month-end close, consolidated reporting, and reconciliations, reporting to the Accounting Manager, who reports to the Corporate Controller. It's a hands-on individual contributor role in a manufacturing setting, so you'll get real exposure to cost accounting, inventory, and SOX controls. The role is on-site four days a week, about 25 miles south of downtown Atlanta.
