Job summary

Roessel Joy in Newton, MA is seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant. You will own the month-end close, manage key balance sheet accounts, and drive forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis on a lean finance team.

You will build Excel models and Power BI dashboards to deliver real-time insights to leadership, assure US GAAP-compliant reporting, and help streamline ERP processes as the company scales.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting or financial reporting a plus.
• CPG industry experience
• Hands-on FP&A exposure: forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
• Power BI and advanced Excel experience

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end close: journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly financial statements
• Take charge of key balance sheet accounts: cash, prepaids, ROU assets, long-term payables, and accruals
• Drive forecasting, budgeting, and budget-vs-actual variance analysis
• Build Excel models and Power BI dashboards that give leadership real-time insight
• Be the go-to contact for external auditors and own US GAAP-compliant reporting
• Streamline processes and help optimize the ERP as the finance function scales
