Description

The Osborne Association serves individuals, families, and communities affected by the criminal justice system. Through our programs, we offer opportunities for people to heal from and repair harm, restore their lives, and thrive. We challenge systems rooted in racism and retribution and fight for policies and practices that promote true safety, justice, and liberation.

At Osborne, we are guided by core values and shared beliefs. We honor everyone's capacity to change, celebrate our shared humanity, are united in our pursuit of justice and equity, take all possible steps to keep our commitments, and advocate for people and principles with fierce and tenacious determination.

The Senior Accountant supports the Accounting division within Osborne’s financial department, which is made up of the Junior Accountant, the Senior Accountant, and the Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate will be an organized, detail-oriented individual who can multitask, meet deadlines, and work closely with other staff. A candidate will be successful in this role by showing a high level of accuracy in financial entries, and having the initiative to question irregularities in data. This role will also interact with staff in other departments, predominantly via email, to follow up on information needed for the monthly close.

This is a hybrid role but the Senior Accountant will be expected to travel to our Brooklyn Heights location a few times per month. Hybrid schedules are subject to change with or without notice. This position reports directly to the Accounting Manager.
