Job summary

Kilcoy Global Foods North America is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role oversees general accounting operations, ensures GAAP compliance, supports financial reporting, and assists with audits.

The Senior Accountant will help maintain financial accuracy and contribute to process improvements across the organization, collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize reporting and internal controls, and supporting budgeting,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in food manufacturing, CPG, or distribution industries.
• CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and financial reporting.
• ERP proficiency (SAP or Oracle) and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and company policies.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Analyze financial data and variances to provide actionable insights.
• Support audits by preparing documentation.
• Assist in developing and implementing accounting policies and process improvements.
• Prepare sales tax filings, property tax filings, and other regulatory reports as needed.
• Maintain integrity of financial records and internal controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial reporting and operational efficiency.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications & Competencies:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the food manufacturing, CPG, or distribution industries.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and general ledger functions. Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving ability with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
