Job summary

Confidential in Los Angeles is seeking a Senior Accountant to move beyond routine reconciliations and gain visibility with senior leaders and external partners. This onsite role in West LA offers a fast-moving, complex environment to sharpen technical accounting and reporting skills.

You will own month-end close, bank reconciliations, internal financial statements, and audit support while contributing to process improvements with finance leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting/audit experience in a complex environment.
• Big 4 or public accounting background preferred.
• Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or progress toward one is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills and comfort with accounting/reporting systems; ERP experience (NetSuite, QuickBooks) a plus.
• Self-directed, detail-oriented, and proactive with ownership of work.

Responsibilities

• Core accounting operations: clean books and accurate transactions with a solid GL.
• Month-end close: journal entries, reconciliations, on-time deliverables.
• Bank and balance sheet reconciliations and resolving discrepancies quickly.
• Internal financial statements and management reporting.
• Audit support: workpapers and documentation for audit readiness.
• Process and systems improvements with senior finance leadership.
• Ad hoc projects requiring a solutions-focused mindset.

You’ll get frequent exposure to senior leaders and external partners, not just a seat behind a screen. This is a chance to sharpen your technical skills in a fast-moving, complex environment. This role is onsite daily in West LA.

What You’ll Own

• Core accounting operations: clean books, accurate transactions, a GL you can stand behind
• Month-end close: journal entries, reconciliations, on-time deliverables
• Bank and balance sheet reconciliations, chasing down discrepancies fast
• Internal financial statements and management reporting
• Audit support: workpapers, documentation, staying audit-ready year-round
• Process and systems improvements alongside senior finance leadership
• Ad hoc projects where you can flex a solutions-first mindset

What You Bring

• 5+ years of accounting/audit experience, ideally in financial services or a similarly complex environment
• Big 4 or public accounting background strongly preferred
• Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or progress toward one a plus
• Strong Excel skills and comfort across accounting/reporting systems; ERP experience (NetSuite, QuickBooks, etc.) a plus
