Job summary

Ledgent is assisting a client in Fort Snelling area seeking a hands-on Staff Accountant who will own end-to-end accounting tasks and partner with leadership to drive improvements. This role offers growth toward Accounting Manager as the organization scales.

Responsibilities include full-cycle accounting (AP, AR, GL), month-end close, bank reconciliations, audits support, and implementing streamlined workflows with automation.

Qualifications

• BA in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of accounting experience with exposure to full-cycle accounting
• Strong understanding of debits, credits, and general accounting principles
• Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, small-company environment
• Process-improvement mindset with a desire to modernize and automate manual workflows

• Prepare and reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts.
• Support annual audits and financial reporting requirements.
• Help streamline and modernize accounting workflows through process improvements and automation.
• Participate in accounting activities related to future business growth and acquisitions.
• Collaborate with operations and other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Support international reporting and communication initiatives as needed.
• Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis.
