Job summary

Ledgent in Baltimore, MD is seeking a motivated Accountant to join our team. The Accountant will support daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, prepare financial reports, and assist with month-end and year-end close activities in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and balance sheet accounts.
  • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare financial reports and variance analyses.
  • Process and review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Monitor cash flow and assist with account reconciliations.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Assist with audits and tax preparation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze financial data and identify trends or discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve accounting issues and improve processes.

Compensation & Benefits
