Job summary

California Hydronics Corporation in Hayward, CA is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead day-to-day accounting operations, oversee general ledger reconciliations, cash reporting, inventory, sales tax compliance, and multi-state payroll support.

The role requires 5+ years of accounting experience, a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, and proficiency with NetSuite and ADP Workforce Now, plus advanced Excel. This on-site position offers ESOP, generous PTO and holidays, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years hands-on accounting experience.
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite highly preferred) and multi-state payroll platforms (ADP Workforce Now).
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs).
• Cost accounting or manufacturing/construction experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger account reconciliations (cash, prepaids, leases, accrued expenses, inventory, and deferred revenue).
• Perform daily bank reconciliations to maintain cash flow reporting.
• Coordinate state and city business licenses, property tax, and sales tax filings (Avalara).
• Provide analytical support during monthly financial statement reviews and assist external auditors.
• Support multi-state bi-weekly payroll journal entries and serve as backup coverage for payroll processing.

Schedule: Day Shift | Flexible start times: 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Salary: $90,000 – $120,000 / year (DOE)

Role Overview
