We are seeking a knowledgeable and hands-on Senior Accountant to join our corporate accounting team in Doral, Florida. Our organization manages a diverse portfolio of hospitality and commercial real estate operations, providing an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, multi-entity accounting environment.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, a strong understanding of general accounting principles, and hands-on experience with Sage accounting software. Experience participating in a Sage implementation, system conversion, or accounting system optimization is highly preferred.

This position will play an important role in supporting the accuracy and efficiency of our accounting operations while working closely with management and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger activity for multiple operating entities
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries
• Perform monthly bank, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports
• Review and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Assist with cash management and banking reconciliations
• Maintain accurate supporting schedules and accounting documentation
• Support accounting functions related to hospitality and commercial real estate operations
• Participate in the implementation, testing, configuration, and ongoing use of Sage
• Assist with data migration, chart-of-accounts mapping, reporting, and accounting workflows associated with Sage
• Help identify and implement improvements to accounting procedures, reporting, and internal controls
• Assist with annual audits and provide requested schedules and supporting documentation
• Work collaboratively with corporate management, hotel operations, property management, and other departments

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong general ledger and month-end close experience
• Hands-on experience using Sage accounting software required
• Experience participating in or supporting a Sage implementation or system conversion strongly preferred
• Experience working with multiple companies, properties, or legal entities preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
• Experience in hospitality, hotel accounting, commercial real estate, or property accounting is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
