Job summary

City of Denton is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage grant and project accounting, prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, and support the ACFR. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong technical accounting knowledge, and the ability to provide insights for decision-making.

Hybrid schedule in Denton, TX with full-time status. Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of accounting experience preferred; government accounting experience and GAAP knowledge are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and at least 4 years of accounting/finance experience.
• Knowledge of fund accounting, financial analysis, and government regulations.
• Equivalent combination of education, experience, and certifications acceptable.
