Job summary

Premier Resources Group (PRG) is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant in the Cincinnati area. Hybrid work arrangement, with duties spanning month-end close, financial reporting, and operational insights to support growth.

You will reconcile GL and bank accounts, manage accruals and payroll processes, and help automate and streamline accounting using existing and emerging technologies including AI tools. A strong GAAP background and 7+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • GAAP knowledge and financial reporting experience.
  • Experience with QuickBooks or comparable accounting/ERP platforms.
  • Experience with payroll systems and payroll administration.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with leadership and stakeholders.
  • Experience in a growing project-based, service, industrial, construction, or manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Experience improving accounting processes or implementing automation and technology tools is preferred.
  • Spanish/English bilingual capabilities are a plus.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and satisfy pre-employment screening requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Support month-end close and timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare financial and operational reports, variance analyses, and insights.
  • Reconcile GL accounts, bank statements, and other records.
  • Manage accruals, adjustments, and recurring entries.
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Assist with payroll administration and payroll accounting.
  • Maintain vendor and customer records and onboarding information.
  • Assist with sales tax compliance and reporting.
  • Maintain compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
  • Strengthen financial controls and procedures.
  • Collaborate with leadership to improve reporting and processes.
  • Assist with accounting-system improvements and automation initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to automate accounting processes with AI-enabled tools.
  • Validate data, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
  • Help build scalable processes to support growth and acquisitions.

Senior Accountant

Location: Cincinnati (metro-area)

Work Arrangement: Hybrid

Compensation: $95,000–$105,000, based on experience

Key Responsibilities
  • Support month-end close and preparation of timely, accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Seven (7) or more years of progressive, hands‑on accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
  • Experience with QuickBooks or comparable accounting/ERP platforms.
  • Experience with payroll systems and payroll administration.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet financial reporting deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with leadership, employees, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders.

Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated base salary range is $95,000–$105,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
