Lyra Technology Group is seeking a Senior Accountant in Chicago to support financial reporting and implement best practices. This hybrid role requires working in the Chicago office two days a week. You will establish accounting processes, ensure timely accounting closes, and assist with consolidated financial reports. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, understanding of GAAP, and relevant experience. Compensation ranges from $90,000-$100,000 with benefits including unlimited PTO and a 4% 401(k) match.

Qualifications

Our holding company team is looking for a Senior Accountant to help support our continued growth. This individual will take a lead role in our financial reporting process and implement accounting best practices across our family of operating companies. You will build relationships with and help support finance leads across the portfolio. You will also collaborate with the CFO to set and execute strategic priorities for the business.

As our business continues to grow, the Senior Accountant will have opportunities to lead others and step into a Controller-level role. This role reports directly to the Group Controllers with regular interaction with the CFO.

In this role, you will be responsible for establishing accounting processes as well as financial reporting to the holding company on a monthly basis. Additional responsibilities include:

• Implement and maintain consistent accounting practices across portfolio companies.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end accounting closes for portfolio companies and holding company.
• Assist with preparation of consolidated financial reports for the holding company.
• Oversee offshore and potential US-based resources.
• Support the financial onboarding of newly acquired companies and their finance leaders.
• Manage audit work for the holding company and its portfolio companies.
• Support the building of annual budgets across the portfolio.
• Assist organization-wide initiatives such as system migrations, improving processes & controls, compliance with accounting guidelines, metrics tracking, etc.

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with advanced working knowledge of Excel.

• This is a hybrid role, requiring in-office work in our downtown Chicago headquarters two days per week.
