Job summary

The Bolton Group is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their finance team in Bridgeview, Illinois. This hands-on, high-visibility role focuses on core accounting operations, including fixed assets, sales & use tax, and general ledger maintenance.

Ideal candidates will have 4–6 years of accounting experience and strong US GAAP knowledge. You will benefit from gaining broad exposure in a collaborative environment with a stable organization.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of accounting experience required.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP is essential.
• Experience with ERP systems is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and monthly account reconciliations.

• Assist with audit and ad hoc reporting requests.

This is a hands-on, high-visibility role supporting core accounting operations and reporting, with strong exposure to fixed assets, sales & use tax, lease accounting (ASC 842), and general ledger close activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and monthly account reconciliations
• Support lease accounting under ASC 842
• Support full general ledger maintenance and financial reporting
• Manage sales & use tax filings, compliance, and remittances
• Assist with fixed asset accounting and tracking
• Perform variance analysis and financial reporting support
• Collaborate cross-functionally across finance and operations
• Assist with audit and ad hoc reporting requests

What we’re looking for

• 4–6 years of accounting experience
• Strong US GAAP knowledge
• ERP experience
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
• CPA a plus, not required
