Job summary

Lee Hecht Harrison Nederland B.V. is seeking an experienced accounting professional to support month-end close, financial reporting, and compliance within a large, complex organization.

You will gain exposure to technical accounting, process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration while contributing to system enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives. The role offers a chance to work across operations, FP&A, and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 4+ years accounting experience in public or corporate accounting.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP/accounting systems proficiency.
• Experience with internal controls, audits and SOX compliance preferred.
• CPA and/or public accounting foundation strongly preferred; SAP/OneStream experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly close workpapers.
• Support month-end close activities and ensure accurate financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts and recommend necessary adjustments.
• Assist with accounting for complex transactions including revenue recognition, incentives, warranties, debt, and other technical accounting areas.
• Prepare and review financial and operational reports, providing insights to business partners and leadership.
• Support general ledger maintenance, process improvements, and system enhancement initiatives.
• Partner with operations, finance, and FP&A teams to ensure accurate accounting and reporting.
• Assist with internal and external audits, including preparation of schedules, workpapers, and supporting documentation.
• Support SOX compliance activities, internal controls, and financial statement disclosures.
• Research technical accounting matters and prepare supporting analyses and documentation.
• Participate in special projects, system implementations, and process optimization efforts.
