Express Employment Professionals, Anaheim South, is seeking a contract Senior Accountant to support our client in Anaheim with accurate and efficient financial processes. You will manage the general ledger, prepare financial statements, and assist with internal controls and compliance.

Qualifications

Position Overview

Are you a detail-oriented and driven individual with a strong background in accounting? Express Employment Professionals, Anaheim South, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Accountant for our client located in Anaheim. As a Contract Senior Accountantyou will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and efficient financial processes for our clients in South Anaheim and the surrounding areas.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and record asset, liability revenue, and expense entries by compiling
  and analyzing account information


• Maintain general ledger and balance/transfer subsidiary accounts by
  verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions


• Develop accounting standards and procedures to assure uniform accounting
  practices, internal controls, and compliance with federal, state, and local
  regulations


• Maintain financial security by following internal controls, verifying
  documentation, requesting disbursements, and upholding confidentiality


• Report on the organization’s finances to management, and offer suggestions
  about resource utilization, tax strategies, and assumptions underlying budget
  forecasts


• Collect information to summarize the company’s financial status


• Prepare balance sheets and profit/loss statements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred or equivalent experience


• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant


• Experience with in-depth analysis of general ledger activity


• Knowledge of GAAP


• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.


• Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.


• Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.


• Ability to multi-task in a high pace environment.


• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.


• Effective communication skills to interact with colleagues and vendors professionally.


• High level of integrity and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
