Job summary

As a player-coach, you will coach, mentor, and develop staff, oversee workloads, and drive process improvements while building relationships with internal partners and senior leaders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in insurance account management or related client service role.
• Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role within insurance, financial services or related field.
• Active Property & Casualty (P&C) General Lines Insurance License or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, coach, and develop a team while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong client service mindset with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, guide, mentor, and develop a team of Account Representatives to meet role expectations and business objectives.
• Coach team members through regular feedback, performance check-ins, and annual performance reviews.
• Oversee workload distribution and monitor team workflows to ensure adequate coverage.
• Foster a vibrant, collaborative, and inclusive team culture.
• Onboard and train Account Representatives, ensuring understanding of Marsh systems and the renewal lifecycle.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex client issues or internal challenges faced by the team.
• Contribute to and oversee process improvement efforts within the team.
• Manage a select portfolio of client accounts while building relationships with internal partners and participating in stakeholder engagement sessions.
