Position Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Account Manager, who will develop and execute campaigns for generating and driving new business, as well as maintaining and developing relationships in a small number of strategic accounts.

The Senior Account Manager is responsible for selling enterprise-level solutions to support project delivery and operations & management – as well as enterprise-level commercial offerings – into assigned accounts. Acting as primary contact for public sector Transportation accounts.

The North American Transportation Team is a diverse team of sales professionals throughout the United States and Canada. Our team works closely with State Departments of Transportation, Ministries of Transportation, Class I and II Rail Organizations, Transit Agencies, and local state government groups to support the safe and swift movement of goods and people. Your Day-to-Day:

  1. Prospect and close new business opportunities within assigned accounts using Strategic Account Planning, the Bentley Sales Process, and meeting with assigned end-users to develop and maintain relationships at various levels to meet annual revenue goals.
  2. Develop important and effective relationships with Key Executives within assigned accounts, translating customer challenges and opportunities into unique business value.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solid business proposals mapping User Objectives to Bentley's software and services.
  4. Build solid Account Plans and ensure execution upon the plan by all parties, including aligning and influencing all relevant parties within the account(s) and Bentley organization.
  5. Execute sales through Bentley's Sales Process using Salesforce to document progress towards closing opportunities.
  6. Prepare sales reports in Salesforce on various aspects of sales activities in the territory assigned, including forecasts, sales data, etc.
  7. Participate in sales events such as trade shows, product demonstration seminars, and technical demonstrations.
  8. Maintain a high knowledge level of the company's products and services, as well as industry workflows, business drivers, and major players.
  9. This is a full-time role expected to work 40 hours per week.
  10. Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer. The role requires communication with managers, peers, and colleagues in person (occasionally), and via Microsoft Teams chat, call, and meetings.
  11. This role requires traveling 20+% of the year.

What You Bring to The Team:

  1. 5-8 years proven sales experience within the public sector, transportation (DOT), or infrastructure industry preferred.
  2. An exceptional track record of quarterly and annual over-quota performances.
  3. Knowledge of BIM is required, ideally with a background in Transportation and Civil Engineering.
  4. Referenceable experience and knowledge of operating at an executive level with accounts.
  5. Salesforce proficiency is a plus.
  6. Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as strong presentation skills.
  7. Very well disciplined and organized with a high level of personal integrity.
