Texas, United States of America Job Family Group: Sales & Marketing Worker Type: Regular Posting Start Date: September 30, 2026 Business Unit: Trading and Supply Experience Level: Experienced Professionals Job Description: What’s the role As the Senior Account Lead, you will play a pivotal role in enabling Products Trading to maximize the delivery of end-to-end value across all key U.S. commodity markets. The role requires close partnership with the Regional Trading Lead to support the execution of key mandates. You will work alongside a team of professionals with expertise in Deal Making, Optimization, Pricing, Sales, and Supply Chain Business Development across the U.S., ensuring seamless integration and collaboration to deliver against key cross-book performance metrics. At the same time, you will help drive long-term business improvements across the region. As the Senior Account Lead, you will serve as the primary sales lead for all commercial accounts purchasing unbranded fuels across the region. Your responsibilities will include maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing customers while proactively identifying and developing new business opportunities. You will operate within the strategic framework established by the Regional Trading Lead, ensuring that both new account acquisition and the growth of existing customer relationships are aligned with broader regional objectives. This position is remote location, a virtual role.

Accountabilities
  • Own the customer interface and developing strong, relationships with commercial accounts to build and reinforce Shell’s presence in local markets
  • Lead the management of complex, multi-region and multi-product commercial accounts, ensuring seamless coordination across diverse markets and product lines.
  • They will anticipate customer needs, aligning with regional strategies, and proactively developing solutions that support sustained business growth and strategic account objectives
  • Take responsibility for planning and supporting and ensuring alignment with the integrated commercial team.
  • You are expected to approach these objectives holistically, leveraging collaboration across teams and integrating regional commercial strategy into customer-specific plans.
  • This role is designed to contribute to the overall integrated book for the region.
  • Performance will be measured by the effectiveness in supporting the integrated commercial strategy and enabling value delivery across the book, rather than being specifically targeted on individual volume or margin outcomes, in recognition of the nature of the P&L.
  • Serve as the focal point for local markets, gathering and relaying pricing discovery, market intelligence, customer RFQs, and competitor insights to the broader commercial team, ensuring real-time awareness of pricing and liquidity in the physical markets
  • Champion market expertise in assigned business areas, leveraging market information and customer feedback to maximize business opportunities
  • Collaborate with traders to design and implement tailored deal structures for commercial accounts, enhancing customer value and supporting the acquisition of new business for Shell
  • Oversee the complete deal life cycle, including exposure management, accurate deal entry, and post-deal activities, ensuring compliance and operational excellence throughout
  • Work closely with the customer operations team to ensure customer satisfaction, service excellence, and process optimization
  • Partner with credit, supply, and operations teams to balance business growth with risk management, and maintain/improve customer relationships
  • Collaborate across organizations and supply chains to optimize commercial barrels and support strategic business objectives
  • Engage with other Shell businesses (COBs) to serve customers seamlessly and share new opportunities
What you bring
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience
  • Solid business acumen and a commercial mindset
  • Solid proven track record in a B2B commercial role
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships while working virtually

  • This position is contingent upon the closing of a deal transaction
What we offer
  • The base salary range for this position is $149, 000 - $223,000 per year.
  • Individual pay will be based on various factors, such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skill level, seniority, and internal equity.
  • For regular full-time or regular part-time employees of the Company (participating companies as listed in the Summary Plan Description), insurance coverage options include medical, dental, vision coverage, life Insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs.
  • Employees also participate in a company pension plan and a 401(k) plan.
  • Paid leave includes up to 6 weeks of paid vacation time, up to 11 paid holidays, and parental leave offering 16 weeks of paid leave for birthing parents, and 8 weeks of paid leave for non-birthing parents.
  • Additionally, employees are eligible for short-term disability leave for up to 26 weeks at 100% or 50% of base pay as well as Long-Term Disability insurance.
  • Shell also offers other compensation such financial reimbursement for adoption, wellness, education, and personal learning expenses, and some roles are eligible for discretionary long-term incentives.
  • For interns, eligible benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs; participation in a 401(k) plan; and paid leave for up to 11 paid holidays.
