We are hiring on behalf of a high-growth payments company scaling its US merchant sales team. The client is confidential at this stage and will be disclosed on our first call. They are approaching $100m ARR and have been growing 100% YoY.
They help ecommerce, travel, and marketplace merchants accept the payment methods their customers actually use. Digital wallets, local payment methods, and cross-border payouts through a single integration. This is alternative payments, not traditional card processing. If your entire background is interchange and merchant acquiring, expect a real learning curve.
Net-new merchant acquisition, full cycle. You will source your own opportunities, run them end to end, and sign merchants directly. The priority is physical goods ecommerce, which is where the biggest gap sits today.
Average deal is roughly $50K in net revenue per year. Upper SMB through lower enterprise. Three to six months from first conversation to signature.
You build your own pipeline. There is no SDR pod feeding you meetings and no large marketing engine dripping inbound. This is the single most important requirement.
You have sold something complex and technical. Payments experience shortens the ramp but is not a hard requirement. Sellers from SaaS, cross-border, FX, and orchestration have all done well here.
You use AI as a working tool. The strongest people here write their own scripts and run their own prospecting systems.
You have stayed places. Eighteen months minimum per role.
