We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Senior Account Director with a strong creative / agency and/or client-side marketing background who is excited to be able to contribute to the success of delivering multi-channel campaigns for our clients within the hospitality sector. Developing brilliant relationships with senior client stakeholders will be crucial to this role as well as leading and mentoring the team to deliver
You will work with our client, forming and managing senior level strategic relationships and lead creative and strategic conversations. You will specifically oversee all creative campaigns and will work with and develop relationships with our planning, scheduling and design teams to ensure we deliver our best work. You will also be responsible for managing the wider ITG / Greene King team ensuring they are delivering exceptional service at all times and show a joined up approach across the different service lines that we provide the client.
We are looking for individuals that are always thinking about how we can inspire our clients - whether that is through our ways of working, stretching the brief to think differently or responses that deliver. You will have a solid understanding of all marketing channel and creative disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Relationships: at the heart of this role, it is essential to build and maintain excellent working relationships with key client stakeholders and internal colleagues as well as leading, developing, mentoring and nurturing your team
- Partnership and Customer Service: managing the team to deliver fanatical customer service is critical to the success of the business. You’ll assist the teams to embed themselves with their clients and make ITG an integral part of their organisation
- Marketing and Branding: demonstrate an understanding and aptitude for marketing and branding requirements, innovation and insights for blue chip retailers and brands. Be up to date on technological advancements in the field and be able to speak authoritatively about them. Call on the support of ITG SMEs as and when needed
- Team management: ensure all team members have documented appraisals, OKR’s and PDP’s and facilitate and enable coaching, mentoring and training as necessary. Manage under performance as and when needed with the support of the People Team
- ITG Services & Tech: have good understanding of all ITG products and services to be able to demonstrate to clients how they can be of benefit to them. Call on the support of ITG SMEs as and when needed to explore and deliver opportunities
- Problem solving and escalation: be the go-to person for all account team queries/problems and challenges, supporting as required and raising the profile of any potential issues internally.Lead from the front with clients and teams at all times, facing into challenges in a pro-active and solution driven manner
- Commercial: work closely with the ADs, finance partners and the commercial team to ensure exemplary budgetary and P&L management, driving and optimising profitability and client contribution and providing context and narrative for any variances.In addition, ensure all work is invoiced in a timely manner and client debt is kept to a minimum.
- Management Information: ensure all management reporting is completed on time and to a high standard (monthly, quarterly and annually)
- Client Meetings: plan and prepare effective, engaging quarterly and annual client reviews, focussing on key achievements, deliverables and addressing client pain points and opportunities
- Client Growth: create a programme and plan of growth and development (Annual Development Plan) for each client by discovering the relevance, need & appetite for additional services and then converting them as per the plan
- Ideally you will come from a creative agency background or a client-side marketing role or mix of both.
- You will have B2C experience most notably from the hospitality sector (experience in other sectors is a bonus!)
- You have a service-led mentality, putting the customer at the heart of everything you do.
- Experience of managing large and multi-disciplined teams is essential, along with the ability to guide and nurture them to deliver the best that they can for the client and the business
- You will have a solid understanding of creative processes. You will be able to take a client brief and translate it into a thorough and insightful brief for our creative teams.
- You will be able to review creative concepts and designs and be able to give clear feedback with rationale where required.
- You will have a good knowledge of all marketing disciplines and multi-channel activation. Working with a team of expert planners, strategists, and insight specialists – you will want to have a point of view and add value to the delivery of all marketing plans and activation.
- Ideally you will have assisted with the organisation and management of photoshoots previously.
- You will have second-to-none project management and organisational skills as well as excellent problem-solving skills, especially under pressure.
- Highly numerate and commercially aware.
- Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literate and conversant to a high standard in Microsoft packages
