The Role of a Customer Growth Account Director at Coupa:

As a Customer Growth Account Director, you will play a vital role in expanding our existing customer accounts. Your responsibilities include maintaining executive sponsorship, understanding customer needs, developing account strategies, and working closely with Customer Value Managers (CVMs) and other teams to identify and close cross-sell opportunities. Your efforts will help ensure Coupa’s continued success and market leadership by fostering strong relationships and delivering exceptional value to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with customers, CVMs, and internal teams to identify cross-sell opportunities aligned with business objectives.
  • Develop and implement account development strategies to position Coupa as the leading Total Spend Management platform.
  • Create an account penetration model to access key stakeholders within customer organizations.
  • Craft value messages targeted at economic buyers, tailored to their specific challenges.
  • Partner with support functions to enhance Coupa’s brand presence in assigned accounts.

Qualifications:

  • Strong SaaS sales background with a proven record in developing existing accounts and managing complex stakeholder engagements.
  • Domain knowledge in Spend Management is a plus.
  • Ability to identify client pains and develop compelling value propositions focused on business value.
  • Creative thinking and ability to propose innovative solutions using Coupa’s Spend Management portfolio, including Coupa Pay and Coupa Supply Chain.
