Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Senior Account Associate - Commercial Lines to support the account team with administrative and client service duties. The role works under an AM/AE/Producer and focuses on ensuring accuracy, renewals, and timely processing for a portfolio including contractors, hospitality, and real estate.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in insurance customer service, holds an active license (CISR preferred), and is proficient in MS Office.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of customer service experience in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active licensing; CISR preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day activities and workflow of Team Support/Receptionist, Account Assistant, and/or Account Associate.
• Track policy expirations and ensure renewals are processed accurately and on time.
• Handle policy endorsements, audits, cancellations, reinstatements, and related admin tasks.
• Support new and renewal business: research, submissions, coverages, pricing, proposals, binding.
• Assist in reviewing contracts to ensure proper coverages.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Monitor activity to ensure timely completion and keep stakeholders informed.
• Communicate workload status clearly with the account team.
• Deliver excellent service and proactively address needs.
• Stay updated on policies and procedures.
• Seek continuous improvement and champion IOA values.
