Job summary

Team Carney, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accessibility Subject Matter Expert to lead Section 508 testing for web content and documents, and to guide accessibility governance across the SDLC for a federal client.

You will review VPATs/ACRs, advise project teams and leadership on risks, and serve as a back-up to the Government Section 508 Program as needed. This is a full-time remote role based from Fredericksburg, VA, contingent on contract award.

Qualifications

Active DHS Trusted Tester Version 5.0 or later certification is required.
Active IAAP CPACC certification is required.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
7+ years of ICT experience.
2+ years testing web content for Section 508 conformance.
2+ years testing and remediating electronic documents to Section 508 standards.
3+ years supporting ICT projects across the lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Perform high-level Section 508 testing of web content and documents.
Conduct quality control reviews of test results and provide remediation guidance.
Evaluate Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACRs) and VPATs for project teams.
Advise senior management on accessibility risks across the SDLC.
Serve as an operational back-up to the Government Section 508 Program.
