Job summary

REYNOLDS & REYNOLDS CO is seeking an Access Control Solutions Engineer in College Station, Texas. You will lead research, design, and integration of commercial access control solutions, focusing on hardware/software, smart systems, and related security technologies.

Up to 50% travel required; onsite collaboration with cross‑functional teams. You will validate feasibility against drawings/specs, design system architectures, and uphold security standards while driving innovative, practical design

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years designing, configuring, implementing, or supporting commercial access control solutions.
• Strong cross‑functional communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to interpret drawings/specs and translate them into system designs.
• Knowledge of leading hardware vendors and APIs.
• Technical degree preferred (engineering or relevant trade).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement smart access control systems, defining security goals, access levels, and user experience requirements.
• Review project drawings/specs to validate feasibility and alignment with business needs.
• Develop and review system architectures, including door hardware, intrusion detection, and video surveillance.
• Uphold security standards and best practices in every solution.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing access control solutions, processes, integrations, and user experiences.
• Monitor trends and recommend new technologies, hardware, and vendors.
