Job summary

The Reynolds and Reynolds Company, via KeyTrak division, is seeking an Access Control Solutions Designer to lead research, design, and integration of commercial access control systems.

This role focuses on hardware/software access control, smart systems, and integration with related security technologies, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to meet schedules. Travel up to 50% is required, and a hybrid work arrangement is supported.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing, configuring, implementing, or supporting commercial access control solutions.
• Technical degree preferred (engineering or related field).
• Ability to interpret drawings/specs and translate into system designs.
• Knowledge of leading hardware vendors and experience with their APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement smart access control systems, defining security goals and user experience requirements.
• Review project drawings/specs to validate feasibility and alignment with business needs.
• Develop and review system architectures, including door hardware, intrusion detection, and video surveillance.
• Uphold security standards and best practices in every solution.
• Monitor trends and recommend new technologies and vendors.
